2.0 style this week....

The week has started off with a bang! The youth are energized as well as the staff. Once everyone arrived we had some fun down at the lake with some free time followed by some amazing synchronized swimming! It was great! Then it was off to dinner where we ate a great meal to give us plenty of energy for the evening activities! The night started off with the students meeting in their small groups that they signed up for at registration. They vary from fishing, arts and crafts, sing language to flag football. So its going to make for some fun times this week. After small group time the students went to their team rooms where they made a video about a piece of scripture that was used during the worship service tonight! It was great. The time we spent in chapel was amazing. Mark challenged us by reading some scripture out of Luke where it talks about Levi the tax collector. We looked at that story and tried to place ourselves in it whether we were Levi, a Pharisee or an onlooker. When it came time for invitation they went to a station that was either Levi, a Pharisee or an onlooker and were challenged there by the staff about what they learned. It was a great time not only for the students but for the staff as well. Then it was off to the lake for our evening activity where we had a bonfire by the lake and roasted some marshmellows and sang songs around the fire! It was lots of fun and a great way to start off the week! So for now day one has come to an end and the students are getting ready to hit the sack for another fun filled day here at Camp Longridge! Thanks for the prayers that have already been lifted up for this week and continue to pray for your student as well as the staff and leaders here this week!
God Bless,
Kim
