The gates have closed. The laughter of the campers faded with the setting of the sun. And though the grounds are now empty, the silence cannot drown out all that God has done at Camp Longridge this summer.

This week began as any other, but with added excitement and anticipation from the staff. From the over twenty children that came forward Monday night to ask Jesus to be their Savior to the overwhelming presence of God in Thursday night's worship service, God's hand could be seen in every second, every moment of this week.

And the summer as a whole has been exactly the same: every week, every day, every second was drenched with the presence of God and guided by his very hand. Many campers came to know Christ as Savior and Lord. Several students heard a clear call to spend their lives serving Jesus. Countless others discovered areas in their lives that needed changing and who God really is and can be to them every single day. Students arrived at Longridge in one state of mind and left changed; not because of anything we did, but because of what God accomplished in this place.

The gates are closed. Another summer has ended, and we can truly say the Lord reigns in this place.

Another Fantastic Thursday

The day started off with a beautiful morning here at camp. The kids awoke to a cooler day with plenty of sunshine. After a great breakfast they headed to their Bible studies for the morning, then it was off to team tables for team activities! It was actually cool enough today that we were able to go up to the hill and do activities. They competed in a variety of field games then headed to the lake for the canoe sink! After a great lunch where the staff served they headed to championships for peanut patch! Then the time had come for the SHAVING CREAM FIGHT! The kids had a blast putting shaving cream all over each other, their leaders and the staffers! It was great fun had by all! Then it was off to the lake for the final lake time. After dinner the kids headed to chapel where they learned what to pack in their heart suitcases! Then it was off to canteen break where the teams played for big ball volleyball championship. After that everyone headed to the dining hall for some ice cream! Now the kids are in the cabins alseep and its time for this staffer to head to bed also! Thanks for all the prayers this week!

Tuesday was a BLAST!!!

Today was a wonderful day! The campers participated in their first full day of camp through a varitey of different activities. First was bible study with their teams. Today, the campers learned what it means to be a good listener. After that, they played games including "Marble Grab" in freezing cold water. Then they cheered on their leaders as the leaders played "Egg Toss." (Of course, the Orange Team had the victory). The game after that was the "Balloon Slam Dunk", which was tons of fun because the kids got wet after playing in the hot sun!!!

After lunch, the kids went to Peanut Patch, which is a variety of games such as, Goodmitten, Horseshoes, Bowling, Ping Pong, etc. After playing these fun games, the were finally able to enjoy the refreshing lake.

Tonight, Frank spoke on the Names of God and how these different names found in the Bible characterize God's attributes. We finished up the day with a movie called the "Crime of the Age." Ask any of the campers and they will be sure to give full details on that one.....

Fun times

We all had a BLAST here at camp! It was a packed-out fun-filled children's week. Boys took over cabin 1...which is a girls cabin-but we all made it work! Everyone had an awesome week...many children accepted Jesus into their hearts this week while listening to one of Franks sermons or by a staffers devotion. We certainly got our share of rain this week...but that did not stop any of the children from having a blast and making the most out of every moment. It was a competitive week between all the teams....with only a couple hundred points separating them all....but there had to be a winner....so---Congratulations to the RED TEAM for winning!!! The children were sad to leave...but at the same time were excited to get to go home and share with friends and family all of the exciting stuff they learned at camp!
